Read every mortality debit in one scorecard
Your underwriters can change the life rating themselves in an editor, with no code. Five predictors contribute debits, and the scorecard makes each contribution available after the decision so the rating can be read back debit by debit.
For underwriting policy owners who need a debit schedule they can read on one screen and change themselves
The life rating is a sum of named debits
The rating is a scorecard: five predictors divided into non-overlapping bands, with their debits summed against the standard mortality table.
- Five predictors. A scorecard sums bands into debits, so an underwriter can read the rating back debit by debit.
- Each debit means one per cent. Debits measure extra mortality above the standard table, and the scorecard shows every predictor’s contribution.
- Unanswered questions have a band. Each predictor starts with a band carrying no debits, so missing answers are visible in the schedule.
Every life lands in exactly one policy row
The five debit bands cover the full range with no gaps or overlaps. An open investigation takes the same table to a postponement and a three-month review, whatever the debit total.
Decision evidence for 2 December 2027
Life and health insurance risk assessment and pricing fall under the EU AI Act’s high-risk obligations from 2 December 2027. GDPR Article 22 already requires a meaningful explanation for an automated decision. Decisimo’s named-debit ratings provide that evidence; the insurer remains responsible.
Questions we get asked
Can an underwriter change the debit schedule in the portal?
Yes. An underwriter changes a band in the portal and puts the change through human approval. Regression tests and impact analysis run before the proposed logic is deployed.
Which bands and debits led to this life’s +100% rating?
The scorecard exposes every predictor contribution after the decision, so the +100% total is readable debit by debit. Decisimo keeps the decision logic and its revision history, not the execution trace.
What happens to a life application waiting for a medical report?
The case file remains open for the medical report. If it contradicts an earlier conclusion, everything that depended on the old evidence is automatically re-run.
